Question Camry silent stereo anyone know why??

I recently bought a Camry, although it is 4-5 years old it has only done 27000 miles. The stereo has a radio and single CD inside the car, and there is a CD changer in the boot. The CD played okay for the first few weeks, but now it is 'locked out', in that the buttons on the head unit don't work and there is no sound, although the display shows the seconds/minutes counting as the (silent) CD plays. The car came with a year's warranty, but the dealer won't honour it. They say it might be the head unit, but now I'm on my own. Any ideas guys? Thanks, Julie

I suggest you try checking out the fuse. It might be blown out already. In that case you will have to replace it. HTH

That was the accurate answer to it. But if after checking the fuse it still not the problem, the connection of wires maybe the problem.
