Default V70 Classic- backdoor dahboard light

I've got a V70 Classic, 2000.
The dahboard light for open backdoor alert keeps burning.
Probably the light switch in the backdoor is stuck. Who can tell me where
this switch is located?
Or is there another reason?

Thanks in advance.

Grettings,

John

In the harness that runs through the tailgate hinge has a broken wire or
wires in it causing your problem if you are a diy person then you can
repair the broken wires for under $20.00

Is for the New York City Firemen who lost their lives on September 11,2001.
The official count is 343, but there was also a volunteer who lost his life
aiding in the initial rescue efforts. And I will never forget them as
long as I live,
nor should any American.

A fairly common failure. The switch in question is a microswitch, and
is part of the door lock assembly, and is only available with a new
lock.

Replace tt with t (twice!) and remove parentheses to email me directly.
(But I check the newsgroup more often than this email address.)
