Default Carisma C/l & Heater Trouble

I'm looking at a 1997 Mitsubishi Carisma 1.6 which a mate of mine owns. He was using the interior heater & last day it just stopped working. Around the same time, the Central locking was also seen to have stopped working.

I checked all the fuses in the engine compartment & at the driver footwell. All were ok. Checked out the heater fan on passenger side footwell; no 12V seen on fan wires which would rule out faulty fan being the cause of the problem. None of the fan speeds work which may also mean the switch is good.

Any suggestions people? Is there a shared resource here?

Have been looking for a wiring diagram but had no luck. Short of buying a Haynes manual, has anyone a wiring diagram they could scan in or something please.

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

Default Heater problem

I have exactly the same problem (heater+central locking ) - in my case the sunroof has also stopped working).

For a full description see www.mitsubishi-forums.com.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?

Anthony
