Default I know this is the Q..

newsgroup, but I'm thinking of ordering a new M35, as a retirement car.
Since it's likely to be my ride for quite a while, does anyone here
have an idea how long the screen on the navigation package is likely to
last? thanks

I have an M45 with the navigation system. I will be buying the extended
warranty the next time I'm in for service. So, that's seven years of
warranty coverage on the whole car. You might want to consider that and to
be sure the extended warranty covers the navigation system, which I think it
does.

And on how long should the system last. That's hard to say. I suspect on
average they last a good long time. I had an after-market navigation system
in my M30 for last five years I had that car. I never had a problem with
anything but the back-up batteries leaking.

Bye.
