Default headlight adjustment, speedometer, tranny fluid

Just bought a 98 beetle for my daughter for college and it has a few bugs.
First of all the headlights are too low. Any advice on how to adjust the
beams higher? I looked under the hood with no luck and read another topic
on here about changing a lamp (it doesnt sound good). Another problem is
the speedometer reads about 5 to 7 mph faster than its actually going at
highway speeds (the tires are the original size). Any help there? And
finally, it has 91K miles and I wanted to check the tranny fluid level and
see if it should be replaced only to find out thats not possible? Any help
from anyone is greatly appreciated. thanks.....
