Since the Warning is probably required by Federal law, it wouldn't surprise
me that it is not able to be disabled -- given our litigious society, I also
wouldn't be surprised if, even though NOT Federal law, the manufacturer
(all, not just Toyota/Lexus) has made disabling the Warning not doable.
Would it surprise anyone if someone was able to disable the Warning then,
when out driving, this person spent his/her time looking at the nav display
and then ran into someone, then that person who disabled the Warning turned
around and sued the car manufacturer? I certainly wouldn't be surprised.

Hello. I just purchased a 2007 ES 350 and have a question about the Nav/ touch screen. Is there a way to program/ override the initial "warning----I agree" screen so you do not have to touch it every time you start up and drive? Also, I heard a rumor that there is a way to program/ override the DVD player so it can play when the car is not in park. (not that I would ever do that...wink wink) Thanks in advance Josh josh_carter@yahoo
